Release and Indemnity: in consideration of my application and the permission to participate as a participant in the Canadian Wife Carrying Championship, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby release, waive and forever discharge the City of Toronto, the Toronto Economic Development Corporation, the Toronto Port Authority, the Bayside Rowing Club, Viking Boat Races & Festival and all other associations, sanctioning bodies and sponsoring companies, and all their respective agents, officials, servants, contractors, representatives, elected and appointed officials, successors and assigns OF AND FROM ALL claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property HOWSOEVER CAUSED, arising or to arise by reason of my participation in said event, whether as a spectator, participant, competitor or otherwise, whether prior to, during or subsequent to the event, AND NOTWITHSTANDING that same may have contributed to, or occasioned, the negligence of any of the aforesaid. I further hereby undertake to hold and save harmless and agree to indemnify all of the aforesaid from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them as a result of, or in any way connected with, my participation in the said event. I, additionally give Viking Boat Races & Festival the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use images of me. I hereby waive all rights regarding the inspection/approval of, sale/resale of, or re-assignment of all photographic materials or any reproduced likeness thereof, and any associated copy produced by resort company, the photographer, or their licensees and assigns in which I appear. Viking Boat Races & Festival shall have the absolute right and permission to copyright, publish and re-publish, sell and re-sell, or assign any photographs in which I appear, in whole or in part, composite or distorted in character or in form, without restrictions as to changes or alterations, in any medium and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not limited to) art/illustration, editorial, promotion, advertising and trade, in perpetuity throughout the world.

By submitting this registration, I acknowledge having read, understood and agreed to the above waiver, release and indemnity. I warrant that I am able to swim at least 200 metres, and am physically fit to participate in this event.
